Handicap Series

To establish a Senior Citizens handicap, a player must play a minimum of five (5) rounds of the Weekly Handicap Tournaments.  If you haven’t been able to play any of the tournaments, just play the ones you can, and when you have completed five tournaments, your handicap will be established.

The tournament scoring leader boards can be viewed on the next page of the Senior Citizens website
I will be updating the leader boards daily.

Here is how your handicaps will be figured:

NOTE:
Ratings and Slopes are taken right from actual real course information,
Par numbers are taken right from WGT scorecards,
Handicap formula is taken right from USGA Handicap Manual.

To determine the Handicap Differential:

*  Subtract the adjusted gross score from the USGA Course Rating
*  Multiply the difference by 113
*  Then, divide the resulting number by the Slope Rating
*  Round the final number to the nearest tenth.

Examples:

You score 77 at St George.

Subtract 77 from 74.6 = -2.4

Multiply -2.4 x 113 = -271.20

Divide -271.20 by 136 = -1.994

Your handicap rounded to the nearest tenth = -2

You score 72 at St George.

Subtract 72 from 74.6 = 2.6

Multiply 2.6 x 113 = 293.8

Divide 293.8 by 136 = 2.16

Your handicap rounded to the nearest tenth = 2.2
