WGT Tools
The tips here are designed to help improve your game. Remember that you may have to tweak these for your club set up and balls you use. It is only designed as a guide and not an exact measure of what to do.

WGT Tools has many useful features, mainly two scales that sit over and under your swing meter. (See photo)
The scale on the bottom is used for putting and can be changed to match the same scales available on your individual putter. The scale on the top is used for all of your other clubs. There is also, a handy percentage scale for the top selection. This can be used to estimate the percentage of power for your shot.
But let’s get started – It should be noted that WGT Tools is a Google Chrome Extension and can only be used with Google Chrome. It will not work with other browsers. Click on the website address above to start the download. Remember, you will need to know where the file is being downloaded onto your computer so you can then go to it.
Open the folder where WGT Tools was downloaded to and open your Google Chrome browser. You will then need to find the settings button normally located in the top right corner of Google Chrome. (See photo) This settings button looks like 3 horizontal bars. (if you don’t have 3 bars, it might look like a small wrench) Click on that button and over on the left, you will see Extensions…click on that.
With both your folder and Google Chrome open, you will need to click and drag WGT Tools onto your Extensions page. That should be all you need to do! (See photos)
Close everything and then log into WGT as normal. Open your Play Now window and you should see 4 new grey buttons on the top of your Play Now window. (See photo)
Another Note: There has been much talk about the Adobe Flash Player that Google Chrome uses for WGT play. Specifically, the Adobe Pepper Flash – this needs to be enabled in order for the WGT Tools extension to function. Normally, after each Adobe Flash Player update (done automatically) the Pepper Flash is enabled by default, so you shouldn’t need to do anything.
Let’s start with the CONFIG button. Click on that and a window will pop up. Do not change any settings on the General page, but click on the Equipment button. Then click on Update. Now you will see a list of your clubs and the ball you are currently using. (See photo) Notice on the right side, you now see yardages of your clubs and yardages of your clubs WITH the ball you are currently using. At the bottom, you can also see your putter and the scales available for it. Click again on the CONFIG button (top) and that window will disappear.
Now click on the SCALE button and you should see the scales at the bottom of your Play Now window. Notice that above the scale, you have buttons for each club. Click on each and the scale will change, depending on the yardage of each club. (See photo)
A personal note: The last button is a %...this is a linear percentage from 100 – 0 on the swing meter. This is the only button I use during play. Then I can calculate the strength of my swing, based on my knowledge of the yardage of that club. It saves a lot of time from clicking back and forth. Once I have the scale set for %, I then go back to the CONFIG button on top and click on General. There, I uncheck the box called “Enable club scale selector buttons” and click on CONFIG again to close the box. Now, I have an unobstructed view without a lot of clutter.
The bottom scale is used for putting. On the far right, you will see two red arrows. Clicking on these will scroll through the different scales available for your putter. Once you have the correct footage scale chosen, simply move your swing meter to the desired footage and hit that dinger!
Disclaimer:
WGT Tools is designed to help you play the game faster and easier. It provides simple tools which are currently done manually by many players.
WGT Tools DOES NOT and WILL NEVER provide automation which may take the fun out of the game or give a player an unfair advantage (such as auto-swing). It doesn't (and can't) slow down or cause glitches in the swing meter.
